The challenge
How do you completely redesign a product people already depend on?
The objective
Redesign the storefront without making experienced buyers relearn it.
TeleDynamics had been serving professional buyers for years. They knew the platform and depended on it to get their work done. The experience needed a full redesign, but we couldn’t treat it like a new product. We had to understand what customers already relied on before deciding what should change.

The existing experience
New features had been added over time, but the experience had never been redesigned as a whole. Navigation changed depending on where you were. Patterns were inconsistent and the interface was showing its age.
Customers still knew how to use it. There were workflows they relied on, and those were worth protecting.
Discovery & audit
We worked closely with engineering to map the existing screens and workflows. That exposed the repeated patterns along with the number of variations the product had accumulated over the years.
It also gave us a clearer picture of what could change and what needed to stay familiar.
The design system
Rather than redesign hundreds of screens independently, I introduced a design system that could support the product as a whole. We established the foundations first, then built components and patterns around the real use cases we had uncovered.
The system grew alongside the redesign and gave design and engineering a shared way to work through the platform.
The result
The redesign changed how TeleDynamics looked and worked without throwing away the workflows customers depended on. The storefront became easier to navigate and more consistent across the product. The design system gave the team a foundation they could continue building on.
